Whether you just moved in or you’ve been in your Lake Jackson apartments for awhile, it’s always a good time to redecorate your place. A reimagined decor style might be exactly what you need to fall in love with your place all over again. If you need some help finding your perfect style, you’ve come to the right place. As part of our ongoing blog series, the staff at Plantation Park has put together a list of apartment decor ideas that work perfectly with our floor plans. We hope that by reading this post, you have the inspiration you need to style your new place.
Without further delay, let’s dive right into the post below! When you’re done reading through this post, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at Plantation Park — the new apartments Lake Jackson residents choose for upscale living.
Invest in corner pieces
It might seem like we’re getting awfully specific here, but it’s worth your time to buy pieces that fit perfectly in corners. We’re talking about shelves, floor lamps and certain entertainment centers. Every inch of floor space matters in an apartment, and triangular pieces help you maximize the space that you have. If you must put a chair or table in the corner at an angle, at least fill the gap with a floor lamp!
Keep your big pieces away from the entrance
Here’s a little visual trick that will make your apartment seem even more spacious; keep your couch as far away from the living room entrance as possible. This rule can be applied to any large piece of furniture, but most people count their couch as their largest piece. You don’t want your visual space to be interrupted by a large piece of furniture the second you walk into your room. Instead, you should see a wide open expanse of floor space in front of you the moment you step inside. Give it a shot and see if you don’t love your new look!
Add mirrors wherever possible
The apartments that seem the most spacious are often those that are the most well-lit. One of the keys to making your space seem bright is adding reflective surfaces that spread light to the far corners of your room. Mirrors are always a good choice for reflective surfaces, but you can also add metallics if you want to go that route. You don’t have to just add the rectangular mirrors either — get creative with it! One look that’s in right now is the shattered mirror look, but you can also spread several small mirrors around in a collage on the wall to achieve a similar effect.
