When was the last time you woke up in your Lake Jackson apartments on a Sunday morning and decided to treat yourself to a delicious brunch? If it’s been awhile, we think it’s high time you gave in to the urge to indulge in brunch. After all, it’s the best way to start the day. Brunch is for people who wake up late on the weekends. You’ve slept through breakfast, but it’s too early for any kind of lunch plans. Luckily, there’s brunch.
The area around Lake Jackson is filled with awesome brunch spots that can satisfy your craving for bacon, waffles, biscuits and everything in between. Some fall more on the trendy side, while others do nothing but churn out hearty southern-style brunches day after day. No matter what type of brunch experience you’re looking for, you’ll be able to find it on the list of brunch spots below.
Let’s get right to the list, shall we? When you’re done reading through this week’s blog, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at Plantation Park — the luxury apartments Lake Jackson residents choose for comfort and style.
The first restaurant on our list has a lot of menu items, but we have to start things off by talking about something called, “The Texas Trash.” It’s made with two-biscuits split in half, then covered with breaded chicken breasts, a couple of eggs, sausage gravy and home fries. It costs $13, but you’ll have enough food to last you well into Sunday evening.
Moving on from the Texas Trash, we can tell you that Asiel’s has a lovely atmosphere and super friendly waitstaff. The restaurant is located right on the lake and offers views from certain tables. Give this place a shot next time you wake up with a serious appetite!
Next up is one of the nicer restaurants in the Lake Jackson area. The Local is located inside a beautiful stone building, and it’s the kind of place that has wood paneling and white tablecloths everywhere you look. Despite the fact that it has such a classy feel, The Local is actually a counter-serve restaurant. You walk right up to the front and tell them what you want! We recommend the breakfast tacos, which come with some of the most flavorful salsa we’ve had this side of Houston. We’ve also heard good things about the baked goods, so grab one before you go and take it home for dessert.
Located in an old residential home, Wildflower Cafe serves breakfast all day. You can roll out of bed at 2pm and head up to Angleton to eat eggs, biscuits and country potatoes. We absolutely love the ambiance at this old school cafe, and we think you’ll love the friendly staff members and strong coffee!
Those are all the brunch restaurants we’ve got to recommend this week, residents! We’d like to thank you for taking some time out of your day to read the latest brand new blog from Plantation Park, and we hope that you feel like you learned a little something about the brunch scene in and around Lake Jackson.
