Eat more almonds


In general, it’s not a great idea to eat anything much past 8:00 at night. Eating this late can prevent you from getting tired, and it’s harder for your body to properly digest food when you snack after dinner. If you are going to eat, however, at least try to snack on almonds instead of anything else. Almonds are actually chock full of melatonin, which helps regulate your body's sleep cycle.


Work out earlier in the day


The later your work out, the less likely it is that your body will be able to cool off in time for bed. Our bodies get warmer when we workout, but they have to cool down before we can fall asleep. For this reason, we recommend working out in the morning or immediately after work. If you have to work out at night, you can speed up the cooling process by taking a cold shower after the gym.


Plug your phone in on the other side of the room


You wouldn’t drink a cup of coffee right before bed, so why use your phone when you’re trying to fall asleep? Screens are stimulating to our brains — just like caffeine — yet most of us have a hard time putting the phone down when we’re in bed. You can fix this issue by putting your phone where you can’t reach it. It really is that easy.
